Sony WH-1000XM3 vs. Bose QC35 ii

Image
Today, I have picked up two of the best contending brands in the wireless headphone category with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology. Today we compare the recently upgraded and newly improved Sony WH-1000XM3 against the legendary Bose QuietComfort 35 ii. Before we take a plunge into the comparison about which wireless headphone is better, I would like to remind my readers that the differences are very minute and hard to put a finger on; the verdict for every user will be subjective (especially if you have a soft spot when it comes to brands). What I can personally assure is that these headphones are one of the best ANC headphones out there in the market and can stand toe to toe with each other and, definitely, deliver quality, both in form and function. So, let’s just dive right into it. Build quality Going over the physical build quality, honestly, it is going to be subjective and as to which one looks better. Besides, both of the headphones are built very well and being i

Sennheiser Momentum wireless vs. Sennheiser HD1

After testing the Bose QC 35 ii, today, I am testing and comparing Sennheiser HD1 with Sennheiser Momentum wireless, brilliant headphones of 2018, to see which of the two is better. Before we start the comparison, here is some background on these on-ear headphones. Both Momentum and HD1 are from Sennheiser, and Momentum was released first. After its release, a few months later, it was rebranded to HD1. It’s because Sennheiser does not own the rights to the word “Momentum”, so they had to change the name. This brings up to the interesting question as to whether Sennheiser HD1 is same as Momentum, or is it a new model altogether! Both Momentum and HD1 are from Sennheiser, and Momentum was released first. The model that was changed to Sennheiser HD1 was Momentum 2.0 wireless. Looks Looks are of course subjective and you can be the judge for yourself. The Sennheiser Momentum wireless, which I reviewed, features real brown leather over the headband. With stainless steel arms and ivory cup

Beyerdynamic Amiron wireless vs. B&W PX

Ever since Apple did away with their headphone sockets, the demand for wireless headphones have risen. While the noise cancellation feature has now become a major pre-requisite of wireless headphones, the ones I am going to compare today belong to two different categories – the Beyerdynamic Amiron being a passive noise cancellation headphone while the Bowers & Wilkins PX being an active noise cancellation one. Without much ado, I will take the plunge to explore these two pairs of wireless headphones here. The first look Beyerdynamic Amiron is HUGE. After having a range of wired headphones, they have now come back with Beyerdynamic Amiron which is a Bluetooth wireless headphone. They are huge and makes you stand out in the crowd; forget about blending in, they are elephantine in proportion compared to the Bowers & Wilkins PX. People would notice the ‘BIG’ feature about the Beyerdynamic Amiron first thing when they set their eyes on it. The headphone does not bend or fold; it

Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 vs. Sennheiser HD 4.50

There’s no denying the fact that wireless headphones may seem to cost you a fortune at times, but when you think of the freedom they offer in terms of mobility and a clutter-free musical experience, they are worth a shot. Whatever is your reason to upgrade to a pair of wireless headphone, I get an opportunity to help you choose. And today we are comparing two pairs of wireless headphones from two camps, the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 and Sennheiser HD 4.50. Plantronics and Sennheiser are two international brands and the competition is quite rough because of the features these two come packed with. The Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 and Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC wireless noise cancelling headphones seems formidable opponents in the wireless headphone category. However, audiophiles will be happy that I picked these two for comparison. There is a clear winner by a slight margin. So, read on! Build The Sennheiser 4.50 BTNC fondly knows as the HD 4.50 is a sturdy bad boy. Going over the physic

Bose Quiet Comfort 35 ii vs. Beats Studio 3

Till some time back, anyone would discourage you from buying or using wireless headphones for the simple reason that the technology in terms of Bluetooth connectivity and ambient noise cancellation wasn’t that great. But that is now a thing of the past. Fortunately, now we are residing in an era of wireless technology. Thanks to the advancement in Bluetooth technology, the wireless headphones today are able to stay connected in every situation, and they can give you a remarkable sound experience. Today I am going to talk about two such headphones which are pioneers in the field. I am talking about the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 ii and the Beats Studio 3 . We are going to look at each of these sound monsters with respect to their features, what’s good and what’s not so good and will try to give you an unbiased outlook. Build quality Starting with the physical features, the Beats Studio 3 has a great exterior and a premium finish to it. The entire body of this Bluetooth headphone is made

Bose QC 35 ii vs. Bose QC 25

Have you ever wondered why an updated model of a car or bike makes so much noise in the market in terms of advertisement? Logically, it may have some added features that are above the previous performance baseline of existing models. The same goes with Bose Quiet Comfort 35 ii aka QC 35 ii and Bose Quiet Comfort 25. Though the Bose QC 35 ii is an improved version of the QC 35 , it sounds rather unfair to compare the latest with its ‘ancestor’ QC 25. Well… this is because if QC 35 ii is from the digital age, then QC 25 happens to be from the Iron Age in terms of technology. So before, we get on with some comparison for both these noise cancelling headphones and stir up some sibling rivalry, let us see what makes QC 35 ii distinct and more preferable than its predecessor. And on a last note of humble nostalgia, the QC 25 were the best at the time of its launch as compared to many other headphones from Bose itself as well as other brands like Sony, Sennheiser, etc. QC 25 is what set th
